The following shelters are supported by Sepanta Foundation:

Animal Rescue Shelter Pardis for stray dogs is founded by Mrs. Jila Pourirani after a massive cull in Tabriz where nearly 400 dogs were killed. Some of the animals were reportedly buried alive, some starved to death at an animal disposal unit, while other dogs were strangled with barb wire.

After the cruel dog cull in Tabriz where Mrs. Pourirani witnessed, she decided to start the first Animal Shelter in Tabriz to make sure this ruthless act never happens again. After years of campaigning by Pourirani herself, the city council in Tabriz has now agreed to ban the killing of street animals. Any stray dog or cat encountered by city officials must now be sentto Pourirani's Animal Shelter in Tabriz. For more information about the shelter, please click here and find out how you can help.

Sepanta Foundation also support animal rescue workers arroud the country that targets animal abuse and provide medical treatment to injured dogs. We need your help to bring innocent animals into safety.
